Paris 13 university has decided to promote the development of a new research center in the field of Biomedical Informatics, the LIM&BIO. It was created during year 2002. This laboratory is located at the Bobigny School of Medicine (SMBH) which is itself a component of Paris 13 University.

The general objectives of this research laboratory are to research, design and validate :

• Original methods and tools for building decision support systems to be used by physicians, nurses and patients
• Original methods and Artifical Intelligence-based algorithm to support the data analysis and data mining of both microarray and clinical data
